Employment dispute in all industries and trades in Australia including a gov job . We’re a highly organized and detail-oriented team with years of proven success. Do you have questions about:
Unreasonable treatment
General Protections include a range of protection for workers in all industries across Australia and include, for example, protection from unreasonable management action, protection for coercion, protection for making a complaint, and including protection from being dismissed at work for any of these and a range of other issues. Again – strict timelines apply here – so if in doubt – contact us for a free consultation.
Discrimination
Discrimination at work is more common than many workers think. It is an offence for anyone to discriminate at work based on race, religion, sex, sexual preference, disability or impairment, and/or age – to name a few. While sexual harassment at work is often the subject of training and code of conduct in most workplaces, heavy penalties apply for those who break the law in this area.
Workplace bullying
Workplace Bullying occurs when a person repeatedly acts or behaves unreasonably toward another person in the workplace. Bullying can have significant adverse impacts on workers, their family and loved ones, co-workers, and the culture of the workplace generally. There are legal sanctions and remedies for workplace bullying and if you or someone you know is being repeatedly bullied at work – feel free to enquire with our team about your rights.
Unfair dismissal
Unfair Dismissal – occurs when an employer terminates a full-time employee for reasons which are harsh, unjust, and/or unreasonable. These matters can be remedied by an application in the Fair Work Commission (FWC) or a state Industrial Relations Commission, for example, in Queensland – the QIRC. A strict 21 day appeal period applies in these cases – so don’t delay in contacting us – we are here to help.
